Change begins with education.  We aim to facilitate research programs and effectively communicate results and best practices to improve our waters and environment.

Working together to achieve our common goals will make the best use of our resources and have the longest lasting effect.

Restoring our lands and water to healthy states requires working together.  Small changes made by large numbers can make big differences.

Blue-Green Connections is working with a coalition of organizations and individuals, including the Sierra Club, the City of Dunedin, Pinellas Community Foundation, Mission Blue, the Florida Native Plant Society, and Nichole Mattheus of #SavetheGDP, to preserve the last precious green space of its kind in North Pinellas County.  We are co-hosting a Benefit Concert at Woodwright Brewery on January 27th.  The city of Dunedin and Pinellas County have until January 31, 2021 to make an offer on this property.  Funds are the biggest hurdle.  Please sign the petition and make a donation today!  Click on the link below for more information...

Hope for the Future Challenge

Calling all youths in the Tampa Bay area!

We're giving away cash prizes!  Are you connected to a school-aged child?  Whether you are a parent, teacher or just an acquaintance, you can bring this to the attention of our local students.  Challenge our youth to learn about the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot and submit ideas about how to keep our waters healthy.  Fifteen of the most thought provoking and creative submissions will win $100 awards!

Watch our 1-Year Anniversary Panel Discussion and Youth Summit with Dr. Sylvia Earle below...

Including an in-depth look at local organizations making waves in ocean conservation!

Thank You Supporters!

This is just the beginning!  Collaboration with supporting organizations and research institutions will continue to grow.  We are fortunate to have a long list of supporters for the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot, many of whom are already involved in conservation, restoration, and education activities.  Blue-Green Connections will coordinate brainstorming and information sharing sessions and facilitate the implementation of similar activities up and down the Florida Gulf Coast.  Many thanks to all of these supporters!
